Transition to Retirement (TTR)
Many people approaching retirement age implement a Transition to Retirement strategy. Normally, you would not be able to access any of your restricted or preserved superannuation funds if you have not reached your preservation age of 55 and intended to continue working in the future.
However, recent legislation has changed this. Without having to retire, people 55 years and over can have access to their super funds. This involves sacrificing some of their current salary directly to superannuation and then receiving income from a non-commutable allocated pension.
